A New Hope

I'm running in a number of charity events over the coming year, starting with a 10K run in London's Hampton Court at the end of September 2008.

As well as raising stacks of cash for a number of charities, I also hope to get back in shape, get fit, yadda yadda yadda...sorry, er, yoda, yoda, yoda.

"Help me ObiWan Kenobi - you're my only hope!"

I beat my original target of £100 so I've decided to up the stakes somewhat - and try to raise £1000. Sponsor me and add your name to the list of donors below. Hell, why not share the love and add the address of your website, MySpace or Facebook page.

I'll even give very generous donors, bloggers and organisations an extra special mention right here in this text. An offer even the Empire wouldn't turn down...

23/09/08 - Blistering Boba Fett! I've just signed up to the Brooks 10K run in Brighton in November. So that's one long distance running event each month. Never thought I'd get this far...sheesh.

12/09/08 - Jibbering Jabba - I've only gone and signed up to the Royal Parks Run which is a HALF MARATHON!!! It was a last minute place and it's barely two weeks (!) after my Hampton Court 10K, but the prospect of running through London, past the London Eye etc, was just too good an opportunity to miss. I'm running for the London Sports Forum for Disabled People.

07/09/08 - After running 5k every two days for the last two months, I finally tried running 10k for training. Only I ran twice that distance and then some - 22k! But then I have been running the equivalent of a marathon every two weeks...sheesh.
