Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Like many people I have known those who have suffered from cancer. Unlike a lot of the charity requests, it is true that at some point in our lives we will be affected by cancer - whether personally or to someone we know. I have four family members and two friends who over the last 14 years developed cancer, some who won the battle and sadly some who have not. I am running this 10k to help raise money in support of Cancer Research, so they can continue to support medical research. I know that at the moment money is a personal priority, but even if you sponsor me a £1, then it all helps. And if you remember to Gift Aid then that £1 will grow at no further expense to yourself.
