Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

My personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

18 months ago I lost my mum after a very brave and long battle with cancer.  Seeing what she and other suffers go through was enough to motivate me to start running.  I have now completed two 5km runs and I am now deciding to make the next step up - hopefully to movitate you to sponsor me again.  So far I have raise £800 in two years and I am very proud and thankful for all the support everyone has given me before.

I always find it hard asking for sponsorship and this for me makes it easier rather than waving a sheet in your face!!  So no matter how much you are able to donate I and Cancer Research will appreciate it - thanks in advance.

Cancer is indiscriminate and currently I have a dear work colleague recovering from her treatment and my Dad has survived cancer himself.  Cancer research need all the sponsorship they can get to help fight this disease.
