Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

My personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, and a big THANK YOU to those who have kindly sponsored me so far!

In January 2008 I lost my father to cancer, and whilst this was a very sad time for me and my family, we remain eternally grateful for the care and support that he received prior to him passing away. And now I feel that it's only right that I show my appreciation for the care he received, by running 10k and raising some money for this very worthy cause.
