Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Cancer gets its name from the Latin word for crab, because ancient Greek physicians thought there was a similarity in appearance between crabs and tumours with swollen veins. In my photo on the left, I am symbolically destroying cancer by devouring a plate of crab claws.

You can help destroy cancer by donating money to Cancer Research UK. Somehow, me running 10Km is meant to encourage you to donate money to fight cancer. If the thought of me throwing up, crying and falling over a lot because I am so badly out of shape is at all amusing to you, then you should definitely give some money to Cancer Research.
