We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

My personal message:

Hi

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the Bournemouth 10k run on Sunday 19th October 2008, my main reason for doing so is to raise funds for an organisation that has touched the lives of people close to me.

My brother, Darren, was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer earlier in the year, thankfully is on the road the recovery having responded well to treatment. One of my closest friends, Adrian, is also suffering from cancer at present and has undergone months of chemotherapy and operations.

UPDATE

I completed the 10k today in 67 minutes, am very pleased with the timing and really do appreciate all your sponsors - please feel free to continue to help me raise funds by donating on this page, even though the event is now complete you can still donate.
