Woot! That's right I'm going to run 10k for Cancer Research UK.

Basically since playing Daley Thompson's Decathlon and Track and Field I have always though running looks bloody easy so here I am at the peek of my physical fitness ready to explode onto the 10k scene.

Just this afternoon I nearly beat my 2 year old son Noah to that tree over there. That boy is going to be the next Bolt.

But this run isn't only about me getting fit. Cancer is big issue that covers the globe and with statistics like "1 in 3 people will be effected by Cancer in some way" being thrown around we all need to act.

Although I have lost family to Cancer and had friends who have survived, the main reason for me running this event is for the chance that Noah and his generation might not have to. As parents we are bound to protect our children from everything we can and by supporting Cancer Research UK we are doing all we can to protect them from something we can't.

Please give all you can so that Cancer is something our children don't have to worry about.
