Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

What the hell am I doing? I've got all the athletic ability of, well, someone who doesn't have much athletic ability - or many analogies apparently. Anyway, I've been thinking I should do something like this for a few years, and since it's taking place around the anniversary of my mum loosing her fight with the big C, it seemed like the ideal opportunity to do something useful. So give me some cash to make my stupid wheezing effort make a difference to someone in the future, or at least sponsor me now before I bottle it.
