We've added an extra question about tickets to our donation process, so donors now need to let us know if they're donating in return for a ticket. If they are, we can't reclaim Gift Aid on their donation.

In the eyes of HMRC, if you are getting something in return for a donation, it becomes a purchase and we can't reclaim the Gift Aid.

HMRC carries out checks and will reclaim Gift Aid from donors who shouldn?t have claimed it, so by selling tickets on Justgiving you put your donors at risk. Your charity will also be at risk of loss of income if they are audited by HMRC.
